THE TYPES OF PROMPT WILL DEPEND ON YOUR PRECISION AND LEXIQUE WHEN BUILDING THEM

A prompt type is a category of prompt that corresponds to a type and purpose of interaction with the AI. There are many different types of prompts, depending on the scope, format, tone, and content of the interaction. In this course we will focus on three main types of prompts: informative, creative and problem-solving.

Informational prompts are those whose objective is to obtain information from the AI, such as facts, data, explanations, opinions, etc. They are useful for accessing AI knowledge, learning from it, or checking its reliability. Informational prompts can be formulated as questions, queries or requests.

In this section we will see how to request information from AI in an effective and relevant way, using general principles and good practices to formulate informative prompts. We will also see examples of informative prompts to obtain information of different types and levels of detail, in different areas of knowledge.

To request information from the AI, you must follow a few simple and effective rules, which will allow it to formulate high-quality informative prompts. These are the general principles and best practices to follow:

- Be precise and concise: use relevant keywords and avoid vague or ambiguous terms. The more precise and concise the prompt, the more precise and complete the AI response will be. For example, if you want to know who the President of France is, don't ask "Who is the Head of the Spanish State?", ask "Who is the President of Spain?"

- Be coherent and logical: use a clear and orderly structure for your prompt, using appropriate connectors, symbols and formats. The more coherent and logical the prompt, the easier and faster the AI response will be. For example, if you want to know how many people live in Spain, don't ask "Population of Spain?", but rather "What is the population of Spain?"

- Be relevant and appropriate: use a level of language and area of knowledge appropriate to your objective and your audience. The more relevant and appropriate the prompt, the more useful and interesting the AI's response will be. For example, if you want to know how to make a pancake, don't ask "What is the recipe for a pancake?", ask "How do you make a pancake?"
